March 21st- Fourth Sunday of Lent

THANKS FOR THE RESPONSE: Thanks to all those that have already responded generously to this year’s Stewardship appeal of the Archdiocese of New York. CCD CHILDREN: All the children in our CCD Program must be present during all the following Holy cerebrations: Palm Sunday March 28th 2010, Holy Thursday April 1st 2010, Good Friday April 2nd 2010, Holy Saturday April 3rd 2010 and Easter Sunday April 4th 2010. These cerebrations will help our CCD children to see and put into practice what they have been taught in their CCD - catechism classes. Please, we humbly ask all their parents and guardians to consider this request positively and responsibly.

PALM SUNDAY: Next Sunday March 28, 2010, we shall have the celebration of Palm Sunday. Palm Sunday marks the beginning of holy week. It is on that day that we will distribute Palm leaves and celebrate the triumphal entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem. It is on that day that the church celebrates Christ’s entrance into Jerusalem to accomplish his paschal mystery. Please let us remember that Palm Sunday marks the beginning of holy week.

HOLY THURSDAY: This year’s celebration of Holy Thursday will be on April 1st, 2010 at 7:30pm, and it will be bilingual. This ceremony entails the celebration of holy mass, washing of feet, transfer of the Holy Eucharist and adoration.

SCHEDULE FOR GOOD FRIDAY-APRIL 2nd 2010:
- 10:00 AM Ceremony of the Seven last words in English.
- 12:00 PM Ceremony of the Seven last words in Spanish.
- 3:00 PM Ceremony of the Lord’s passion and veneration of the cross.
- 4:30 PM Procession and ceremony of the way of the cross along the streets.

HOLY SATURDAY- APRIL 3rd 2010: 7:30PM Easter Vigil Mass - Bilingual.

SCHEDULE FOR EASTER SUNDAY – APRIL 4TH 2010:
- 9:00 am Resurrection Holy mass in English at grand concourse nursing home.
- 9:30 am Resurrection Holy mass in English - St. Angela Merici church.
- 11:00am Resurrection Holy mass in Spanish – St. Angela Merici church.

EASTER MONDAY: 9:30 AM Morning holy Mass. No Holy Mass at 1:00pm on that day.
