THANKS TO THE CURSILLISTAS GROUP: Many thanks to
the group of the Cursillistas and the Youth group who
successfully organized the Youth annual ceremony which
was held in our parish on Saturday last week. The
ceremony was attended by 575 boys and girls from
forty-two Parishes. They were given great educative
information by priests and Lay people. The youth too
shared their wonderful Christian experiences, and made
great promises to live a better Christian life. May the
lord Jesus be on their side always. Amen.
SCHOOL RAFFLE: Raffle tickets are being sold by
St. Angela Merici School. This is a special fund- raiser
for the school because of the government budget cuts.
Tickets are being sold for $ 100 each.
The first prize winner will get $
10,000. The
second prize winner will get $ 5000.
The third prize winner will get
2, 500. Families can split the cost of a
ticket. For example four people can get together and buy
one ticket. All purchases are tax deductible. Winners
will be announced on Wednesday, November 26th 2008,
before Thanksgiving day.
THANKSGIVING DAY: On Thursday November 27th 2008
we will celebrate our annual thanksgiving day. We will
have a bilingual mass at 9:30 AM. There will be no
Spanish Mass at 7:30 PM. The Youth group in our parish
will distribute some little Thanksgiving Day food to the
needy on Wednesday 26th 2008 at 2:00 pm. Whoever wishes
to donate some dry or canned food for those in need of
Thanksgiving Day food, can bring it to the parish
rectory. We will appreciate if you will bring only that
food which is not expired.
CCD FAMILY DAY: The Director of religious
education (CCD), Sister Maria Pagan, is requesting and
inviting all the parents who have children attending our
parish religious education program (CCD) to attend a
“CCD family day session”, scheduled to take place on the
Saturday December 6th 2008 in the Parish cafeteria, from
10:00am to 12:00am. After the session, free lunch will
be served to the children of CCD and to their parents.
